This book was surprising, I was settling in for what I thought was a pretty dark read, after reading they synopsis... but what I got wasn't really all that dark, but it was really good.

Holland is running from her past and herself and she's doing it alone. She's alone and lost in this world after losing everything she loved.

To me, as emotional as this book was, I really admired Holland's strength. To quit her job, get in her car and just head towards a new life... and not really knowing *what* that life will hold, she just knows that it's got to be better than what she's leaving behind.

Holland gets a job waitressing in a small town, and Jensen, a 30-year-old scopophiliac, (yeah, I had to look that one up! Definition: deriving pleasure from looking. As an expression of sexuality, it refers to sexual pleasure derived from looking at erotic objects: erotic photographs, pornography, naked bodies, etc.), who has been coming in everyday for a few months, ordering the same thing and doing what he does best.. he looks. Unfortunately, Holland doesn't notice it, or him.

I really liked Jensen the moment he came into view on my Kindle. Strong, mysterious, and Dominant!

I loved how Ms. McIntyre wrote the sex *into* the story, not that the story was built *into* the sex. And the scenes were tasteful and erotic, which complimented this particular book quite well.

Very enjoyable read!

After coming off the high of reading the Cartel Series, I couldn't wait to get into the Gypsy Brothers Series! And I wasn't disappointed!

Seven Son's picks up 6 years later after Juliette was brutally and horrifically raped by Dornan and 6 of his 7 sons while the 7th son, Jason (Jase), was forced to watch. Juliette was all but dead when she was taken to the hospital. Dornan didn't *want* her dead, he still needed information from her on where her father, John, hid the money that he embezzled.

But as far as Dornan and his sons knew.. well as far as everyone knew, Juliette died in the hospital. But she was actually rescued by Elliot, a cop that was on the case. He took her back to his grandma's home in Nebraska where she was nurtured and loved.

     

"Elliot was my one constant. He was gentle and kind. He listened to all of the demons inside me that were clamoring to smother me, to kill me. He held me while I cried. He wiped away my tears.

And then, inexplicably, he fell in love with me." --Juliette

Elliot loved Juliette, and Juliette loved Elliot, but she had nothing but revenge on her mind and that overshadowed anything she could ever really have with Elliot. And she was still in love with the boy that Dornan brought home one day when they were only 16 years old, Jase.

Dornan had killed Jase's mom, leaving her dead body in the bathtub for Jase to find, then Dornan took Jase "home" to meet his family. Yes, Dornan is Jase's father... but he's frickin' Psycho!!

 

Oh, yes he *did*. Dornan loved his sons in his own twisted and fucked up way. And I think he actually grew to love Jase... but the other 6 brothers, not so much. They were cruel to Jase. Sadistically cruel.

 

In Juliette's quest for revenge, she wants to infiltrate the Gypsy Brothers and kill them all, one by one. She goes to Thailand to have total facial reconstruction. The only thing she can't hide are the 7 slash marks on her hip where each of the 6 brothers and their father slashed her with a knife when they were (each) done raping her.

 

"Today my name is Juliette Portland, but tomorrow I will wake up as someone else entirely.

So with a new face, she heads for the Gypsy Brothers' compound, to begin her quest for revenge as Samantha/Sammi Peyton.

She is able to seduce Dornan into making her his new girlfriend. And as Sammi finds out, Dornan is just a brutal *in* bed as he is out of it.

Moving from the Cartel Series into the Gypsy Brothers' series I find that the Dornan I liked in the past is truly no more. He feeds off cruelty. He's dark and twisted, and did I mention psycho?

   

Seeing Jase again and not being able to tell him who she is, is tough on Juliette, but she has to maintain her cover or risk being killed.

I'm glad I read the Cartel Series first, even though, I think it was intended as a prequel. I felt like I followed the timeline into hell much better.

The Gypsy Brothers' series is proving to be even more twisted and sadistic than the Cartel series.

This was a quick hot read with my morning coffee. I enjoyed seeing Red Dog again, and meeting Mary, his little China Doll.

This novella was just what I needed after the book hangover(s) I had from the previous books in this series. Getting to see Crash, Wolf, Cole, and an "Ol' Lady" thrown in the mix, was just what I needed to keep me connected to the series.

Red Dog and Mary, have had a lot of "ups" and quite a few "downs" during their relationship. But they've always been able to work through it.. until now.

Mary is pissed, and Red Dog is stumped as to *why* that is this time. She's up and left, took all of her stuff, and their son, and just left. He doesn't even know where to begin to look for them.

We see a lot of flashbacks to how Red Dog and Mary first met, the ups and downs in their tumultuous relationship. But in all the years, we've never seen Mary leave and just "be done" with Red Dog.

Can he get her back, or has he fucked up one too many times for Mary to even consider it this time?

Grab a cup of your favorite beverage, curl up with your e-reader, and step back into the world of The Evil Dead, and find out for yourself.

I sure hope that Nicole James has more books planned for this series! I love me some Evil Dead!!

Okay, so as most of my friends know, I don't read M/M and or menage... but I've learned to never say never! I met the author, Elizabeth Lister, on my group when her book came up as the mid-month book read, and I enjoyed the interaction she had with all of us, and several of the members were going to read the book, and to the shock of my friends I decided to give it a go. Thank you for gifting the book to me, Elizabeth, hopefully this review will be considered as my gift to you.

I went into this read with an open mind about it being an M/m/m, also knowing that it was a BDSM heavy story helped with my decision since I live the lifestyle as a submissive myself.

So, I have to say that I *thoroughly enjoyed* this novella! Ms. Lister brought out the beautiful side of a consensual BDSM relationship. She showed 3 men, James the Dominant, Tate and Sebastian (James') submissives, and the love they shared, the day to day rapport, and she showed how love and respect go hand in hand in these relationships.

The darker side of this story was with Oliver, a submissive male that found his "Dominant", Terrence, on an online BDSM site. The "Dominant" was actually an abuser hiding behind the definition of BDSM, using it to cover his abusive tendencies.

Oliver, though he'd been taught better, didn't practice the *Safe, Sane, and Consensual* (number one) rule of true and healthy BDSM, in this instance with Terrences. I felt that Oliver was more concerned with having a Dominant than being safe. Ms. Lister clearly defines the difference in BDSM and an abusive relationship. For that, I thank her.

Tate, what a bratty little sub he can be sometimes! I really enjoyed his character, and the naughty things he said and did in fun. But I also like, that even though he was, at first, jealous of Oliver, he realized that Oliver was in danger and took it upon himself to try and save Oliver, only to find himself in a dangerous situation too.

Sebastian, was another character I really enjoyed, and would love to hear his thoughts as we heard Tate's in this book.

James, well who doesn't love a strong, caring, loving Dominant? James has all of those traits and more. His main concern is always the well being of his submissives... even when they are naughty!

I looked at this book from a submissives point of view, looking through the submissive eyes of Tate, and reading the book for what it truly was about, a relationship between a Dominant and his submissives. And.. it. was. beautiful.

Thank you Elizabeth for writing a book that showed the beauty of this type of relationship, and the difference between BDSM consensual play and abuse. Well done!

What a story! This book was a pleasant surprise. I was just looking for something quick to read over my morning coffee, and this Novella fit the bill. It grabbed me and reeled me in from the first page, and two cups of coffee later and I was trying to catch my breath.

Eve is a investigative reporter trying to find her one big story that will help her get noticed and be the big break, not to mention help her to keep her desperately needed job. Eve's grandmother is in a retirement home, but Alzheimer's has set in and she needs to be moved right away. Eve's finances are bare bones at best. So getting this story would be quite helpful all the way around.

Ash meets pretty Eve at a biker bar, rescuing her from a brother, that is in desperate need of a bath, shave, and toothbrush, and is aptly named "Rancid". After getting rid of "Cid", Ash takes a seat and gets to know a bit more about Eve.. finding out that she's a reporter with a million questions. But, poor Eve is pretty much tongue-tied when it comes to the handsome and ooooh soooo sexy biker dude!

Things go pretty easy for this couple, he's an Alpha Biker, and she's no pushover. But they click, and even though this book is a novella, I actually *felt* that click with these two.

One major compliment to this book is the sex scenes. They were definitely HAWT, but they were well placed. The story was built on the characters and what was going on in their lives, the sex was a bonus, which made me appreciate this story that much more.

Really enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to continuing this series to see where Ash and Eve go next!

What a ride!! This series just gets better and better with each book! And I love that each book has all of the characters that we've come to know and love.

Crystal meets Wolf at an Evil Dead party she attends with her boyfriend, and her best friend.. said boyfriend's sister. After her jerk boyfriend starts some trouble and Crystal is left behind, Wolf takes her home.

 

"She loved everything about the way he was with her, the way he let that animal inside him out when they were together, turning all dominant; an alpha taking its mate. His name was so appropriate. He was a wolf."

One look at Wolf and she's done. She's gone. Head over heels for the sexy man in the Evil Dead cut. And Wolf is just as stunned by Crystal, she's not the usual girl he sees in his clubhouse, and it's an instant attraction. But instead of giving into that attraction and seeing where it could lead, he just jerks her around. Uses her and walks out, time and time again.

It takes a lot to make Crystal finally see that Wolf is never going to commit, and she finally has enough of waking up alone, seeing him with other women; loving a man that will never love her in return.

"Now he just needed to figure out just how brave he was. Brave enough to go after her or brave enough to live the rest of his life without her?"

Will Wolf *ever* be able to step up and do right by Crystal? Will Crystal ever let the walls around her heart down enough to let him back in?

Lots of twists and turns in this one and just when you think all is going their way, the author throws in more twists.

I really do love this series, and looking forward to reading the next book, Ghost. The best thing is there are plenty more characters to build off of that I'd love to read about!
