"She hated the class because it was part of her Broadcast Journalism module. She hated the sound of her voice and she hated how she looked on camera. Radio journalism was of no interest to her, a true writer at heart."

Maggie is in college to become a journalist, but she only wants to write. She doesn't like appearing as a stuttering little girl, on the air or in front of the camera, who didn't know what she was talking about. That's how she perceives herself at least.

Mr. Finian is the seminar tutor, and a good looking one to boot. He is young for an academic, early 30's, and while Maggie found him attractive, she also found it really hard to like him because of the subject he was teaching.

Maggie has her usual bored expression, she doodles, plays with her phone, anything to get through the class. Until suddenly he's looking right at her. Awkward!

As class ends, he wants to speak to her.

"But if, let's say, you wanted some private tuition, I would be happy to give you some...."

Well, let me think about this for a half a second... Hell yes! I'd be more than happy to take some private time with Mr. Finian! But Maggie isn't as keen on the idea. She just wants out of there, like two seconds ago!

Okay so she doesn't want the private tutoring, but she must attend the radio workshops the following week. And at the last workshop she will have to record her news piece in the radio booth.

She thinks to call in sick, tries to get some of her friends to stay with her since her recording will be the last one of the day. But everyone has plans and she realizes she will have to be alone with Mr. Finian.

"We will play a game, Margaret. I will press this big red button here and from that point on you are not allowed to say anything." "If you break this rule... I will fuck your mouth, and trust me, you will not like that."

Holy Hotness!

         

What happens from there is seriously fucked up.. and seriously hot! Mr. Finian is going to school Maggie in a way she won't soon forget.

I'm a reader of dark erotica, normally, and this short story really had the potential to turn in that direction very easily if it were a novel.

I imagine that this author could write some dark taboo stories. And I hope she gives it a whirl!

I enjoyed reading this with my morning coffee. It's short, (well, that's why it's called a short story right?), to the point, and erotic. So if it's a quick read with your coffee, over your lunch break, or before bed, then this book fits the bill.

The only reason this book is a 4.6 instead of a solid 5 is because there were some (very few) spelling errors or missing words. But for a debut short, it really rocked!

I'll be watching for more from this author in the future!

Finally in this installment, Jase finds out that Sammi is really Juliette. I'd been waiting for him to discover this. But I felt that it's was kind of anticlimactic, Jace (to me) seems to just accept it, business as usual. But I was still happy that the truth finally came out.

And Dornan.. the man must have 9 lives. Blowing up the motorcycles while Dornan and his sons were on them *still* didn't kill him.

Jacked him up pretty bad, but didn't kill him.

Elliot makes some handy dandy little dirty bombs that Juliette has to put in the tanks of the motorcycles. She has a remote app on her phone that she can use to detonate the bombs.

But Dornan just won't fucking die! He is in a coma, which is acceptable, until he wakes up.

In the meantime Jase and Juliette are finding the love they once shared, but in reality, Juliette doesn't really have time to explore this love in-depth, and even if she could, she wouldn't, she has to complete this vendetta.

But we do get to see some sexy time between Jase and Juliette. Their love is hot, and sweet, and Ms. St. Germain writes it impeccably.

I really enjoy the chemistry between Jace and Juliette, and I love feeling their deep connection.

This book, even with all the action, still felt a bit "calmer" than the previous books, a tiny bit of a reprieve from all the darkness, but I was still on edge waiting for what was going to come next. I was not disappointed.

Claire Thompson is a favorite author of mine, I've read several of her books, so I was excited to see a new book by her.

This was a sweet, fast paced read. At times almost a little *too* sweet, and a little *too* convenient. But, for the most part, I did enjoy the love story of Dominant Liam and submissive Allie. I enjoyed the fact that their meeting seemed real, that their connection grew until they finally met. They were well suited characters for each other.

The sex scenes in this book were pretty well played out, including the *GASP* water torture scene. Had me feeling panicky just reading about it.

I feel "most" of the scenes were realistic, and sexy hot! There were times that I felt the author tried to put as many BDSM scene plays into the book as she could think of. After a while, it started to become predictable. Not every touch, or every kiss, needs to turn into "up against the wall. And fuck in 3, 2, 1."

I have to admit, there were times when I thought Liam was a jerk. I understand the pushing of limits, and I understand why he did so at times... but to me, he just sounded... "jerkish".

So overall, yes, I liked the book. And I really enjoyed meeting so many of the other characters. The all had a place in the story, they made sense, and even though there were quite a few of them, I felt like I knew them all by the time I finished the book. I'm hoping to see more of them if there are going to be other books in this series.

This was a quick hot read with my morning coffee. I enjoyed seeing Red Dog again, and meeting Mary, his little China Doll.

This novella was just what I needed after the book hangover(s) I had from the previous books in this series. Getting to see Crash, Wolf, Cole, and an "Ol' Lady" thrown in the mix, was just what I needed to keep me connected to the series.

Red Dog and Mary, have had a lot of "ups" and quite a few "downs" during their relationship. But they've always been able to work through it.. until now.

Mary is pissed, and Red Dog is stumped as to *why* that is this time. She's up and left, took all of her stuff, and their son, and just left. He doesn't even know where to begin to look for them.

We see a lot of flashbacks to how Red Dog and Mary first met, the ups and downs in their tumultuous relationship. But in all the years, we've never seen Mary leave and just "be done" with Red Dog.

Can he get her back, or has he fucked up one too many times for Mary to even consider it this time?

Grab a cup of your favorite beverage, curl up with your e-reader, and step back into the world of The Evil Dead, and find out for yourself.

I sure hope that Nicole James has more books planned for this series! I love me some Evil Dead!!

This was the second book in the Absolution Series.

Break Me picks up right where Bend Me leaves off... and the ride is *scorching*!

Agnes Eliza Bright met her first Dominant, Marcus, online, and when they first met face to face, back in the first book, it looked like it was going to be a great relationship.. until Marcus' best friend David Lake enters the club where "Eliza" is waiting. One look at each other and all bets, and time with Marcus, ended up being called off.

Now Eliza has agreed to be David Lake's submissive for 2 months to see if they can build a relationship. David is very much a Dominant, and Eliza is a submissive.

Eliza breaks one major rule. She has not been honest with David. She hasn't told him her real name, or that she's still married. Although she's signed her divorce papers, her estranged husband has not. The signed paperwork sits day after day on the breakfast bar at home, and day after day, Jonathan ignores them.

She knows she needs to tell David... but how? When will be a good time? If she does, what will happen?

This story was good, but at times the actual *story* was overshadowed by sex. The sex was hot, yes, but there was just too much of it. I much rather read a story where the sex is not taking place every other page, for pages, where the story is about the characters, what's going on, and the sex doesn't feel like the main component. I ended up skimming a lot because of that. But all in all, when I drilled down past the sex, the meat of the story was a good one.

Worst thing about this book was the major cliffy at the end, so be sure you have Bind Me locked and loaded!

Nicole James does it again! Book 5 in the Evil Dead MC Series is a hit for me! I absolutely love this series, Shades being my favorite character, and we see get to see a lot of him in this book, but Ghost is just one big ol' sexy hunk of man in his own right!

Ghost is a member of the Alabama Chapter of the Evil Dead MC, and he's happily going down the road he's chosen for himself, until one day he hears from Jessie, his once upon a time step-sister. She's in trouble and needs his help. That's all he knows since he hasn't been able to reach her since speaking with her briefly, once.

Jessie is running, and she knows that she needs to get to Sturgis, SD, where the Sturgis Rally, a big annual meet of all Motorcycle Clubs, including all chapters of The Evil Dead, is held. She is hoping against all hope to find "Billy" a.k.a. Ghost at the Rally. She hitchhikes from Seattle to Sturgis and takes a chance in thousands that she'll find the only man she knows can help her.

Ghost and Jessie, do find each other, and Jessie brings a whole lotta trouble down on Ghost and his club.

They both have secrets. Secrets that can be devastating to the other. Secrets that can break the trust they have for each other. Can their tenuous relationship take the burden of these secrets if they are revealed? *Will* they be revealed?

Some of the characters from the previous books make appearances in this book, and I loved seeing everyone of them again! There are some new characters that are introduced that I can't wait to read more about.

Blood. I need more of him! And to find out that is the next book to come out...

Well, needless to say, I'm very excited about *that*.

Bravo Nicole James, for another great story, with characters, old and new, that I fell in love with!

I really enjoyed this first in series book! It took me much longer to read than I like, but not because it wasn't good, but because life got busy on me.. but when I was away from this book, I was thinking about the characters. That says a lot about how much I enjoyed it!



Cole is a rough and tumble biker, VP of The Evil Dead motorcycle club.



Angel is a girl that was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

When Cole sees Angel for the first time, she's in handcuffs and being dragged behind Chucky. She's been beaten, and he finds out later, raped. He ends up taking her away from Chucky, rescuing her, then taking her back to California on the back of his bike.

Part of me loved the Alpha that Cole could be, but when Angel, so quickly, gave in sexually, I found that a bit hard to digest. But at the same time, I realize that this is a work of fiction and it needed to happen to move the story along.

And move along it did. This was a long book, but it held my interest and I connected with the characters.

Mack, the President of The Evil Dead; I don't like him. He had very few redeaming qualities.

Natalie, Angel's aunt, and a wonderful person. She loves Angel and only wants the very best for her and will do anything to help her achieve it.



I loved how Cole loved Angel, he was purely "Alpha" but with her he wasn't afraid to let his softer side show. While I *love* an Alpha, I can also appreciate the truly human side, the side that isn't afraid to show feelings.

And the sex scenes. Hot. Hot. Hot! Normally anymore, when reading erotica, the over the top drug out sex scenes start to bore me and I end up skimming, but not in this book. The scenes were well done, and just enough to get my attention, and then move on to he heart of the story.

Some of the downfalls of this book:

► The author's writing style. At the very beginning of the book, right at page one, I was lost, had to re-read the first few pages several times, trying to figure out who was who and who belonged where.

► The names of the motorcycle clubs The Evil Dead and the Dead Souls, were so similar (both having "Dead" in them) that it was hard to tell which club was which. But, I pushed through, and was quickly caught up in the story.

► The over descriptiveness of every move/detail. Better editing could have easily fixed this minor issue. And this is the reason this book, for me, is a 4 star instead of a 4.5 or 5.0.

But, this is the first book in the series, and sometimes it *can* be a little bumpy. I have a feeling that the author will improve with each book. She has a great foundation on which to build.

I enjoyed this book enough that I do plan on continuing the series... and I'm looking forward to doing so!

5 "Hunt me baby!" Stars!

Hunted, book 5 and final book in this series was more than I could have even asked for.

In this book we hear from the brothers, Lucas, Roman, Charlie and Tyler. Roman has arranged some "family time" for the brothers and their others, and in true Hunter Brother's fashion, not a whole lot goes as planned.

This series is one of my favorites and I was thrilled when the author offered me an ARC of this book to review. I devoured it, much like I did all the others in this series. If you've read the first four books, you'll know that each book was told from the wife/girlfriend/SO's point of view with the final chapter(s), told from the respective brother's point of view. I really looked forward to those chapters, to hear from the brothers. So when this book was going to be all from their POV, with a fresh, not regurgitated story, as sometimes happens when you write a book solely from another character's point of view in the same series, I knew I *had* to read it! I was *not* disappointed!
