My new favorite series!

On His Terms (Mastered #2)On His Terms by Sierra Cartwright
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed "On His Terms", but, it was different than the first book in a lot of ways. I found this one to be, in the beginning, a bit more technical. I kept looking for the emotional. I wanted the emotional connection with the characters, which I didn't get in the beginning, but the story was so good that I kept going, knowing (hoping) the connection would come.

I wasn't disappointed! You could see the slow turn coming and it kept me turning the pages.

This book turned out to be one of my favorites and I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys learning about the BDSM lifestyle.

I really feel that Sierra Cartwright, more than any other author of this genre, *gets it*. Her research into the elements of this lifestyle and her ability to put pen to paper and write a series like this, shows that she cared enough to get it right.

If you're in the lifestyle or just want to learn more about it, this is definitely the series for you!

Sierra Cartwright just nails it and I'm looking forward to the next in this series, "Over the Line", from the excerpt I read, I have a feeling it's going to be more about a bratty sub. Can't wait to read where her research took her in *that* one!

Oh it feels so good to get back into reading and reviewing again! Busy life has kept me away from this for too long, it's time to pick up a cuppa coffee and my Kindle, kick off my shoes and put my feet up,  for just a little while and escape into the virtual worlds i enjoy so much!

Hot Motorcycles, Hot Bikers, and Hot Sex, Oh My!

Reaper's Property (Reapers MC, #1)Reaper's Property by Joanna Wylde
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

(Warning: This review contains spoilers, read at your own risk)

This book started out a little slow for me, and i'm not a fan of the jumping back and forth in time, but, i'll conceded that in this story it was a necessary evil and in the long run (for me) it worked.

Once i got past that, this story grabbed ahold of me and kept me turning the pages. It was a good story, it was fun, and it was hot!

There were a few things that i would have liked to have seen expounded on, i'll put them as a spoiler for those that haven't read this book yet.

Begin Spoiler:

Max attempted to rape Marie, he was caught in the act by Horse. Horse, being the very protective, bad ass biker that he is, literally beat Max to a pulp, and Max was only saved from Horse killing him when another brother stepped in. Okay, very good so far. Max's final punishment would have, should have, and did, come from the Reaper's club as a whole, but what punishment did he receive? He was gone "for a couple months", but there had to be some real punishment for such an infraction. i would have liked to have known what it was.

There was the whole "secret email accounts" between Marie's brother, Jeff, and herself. Okay, i found a couple holes in this one. First, if Jeff *or* Marie had contacted each other and said.. "hey, lets set up these private email accounts so we can communicate", wouldn't someone that was monitoring their *real* email accounts have seen this communication? i just felt that if they were both being monitored so closely, especially, Jeff, someone would have seen *something*, and/or figured out about the secret email account. i didn't like the fact that Marie was lying to Horse about it, but i understand why she felt the need to do so... at the time. Did she ever confess to him? Did she ever show him the communication she had with Jeff, and what led her to do what she did?

Okay, one other thing, going back to when Max attempted to rape Marie. Later in the story, Max is back in the club, pretty much keeping his distance from Marie. Good. But the first time she has to go somewhere (from the funeral to the armory) who is it she lets in her car? Max. Really? If she couldn't get Horse on the phone, by calling or text. She was *still* at the funeral, all she had to do was get out and walk over to him and ask for someone else to go with her. And when horse found out, he was like "good call, babe". Hmm.

Not to mention, in all of that, Marie murdered 2 men. All i can say is the Reapers must have one heck of an attorney on retainer. LOL

The "Jacks", there was such a build up on this front, then it kinda fell flat with, 'oh, and by the way, everything is cool, they went back to where they came from', i would like to know what went on in that meeting. Even though Jeff was killed, if there was that much bad blood between the Jacks and all the other MC's, i just don't see them "letting it go" without *some* kind of fight.[Max attempted to rape Marie, he was caught in the act by Horse. End Spoilers

All i all, this was an enjoyable read, and i'm glad i came across it and made it a BOTM for my group . i *do* look forward to reading more in this series. i'd like to know where Horse and Marie go from there, what other adventures they can get into, maybe another reason for the Reapers to get into it with the "Jacks", or another club, would be interesting.

Oh, and the sex in this book was HOT! A particular scene between Marie and Horse (on the stairs), good hot angry sex that teetered on the line of non-con was exciting for me! :)

i would recommend this book to others that enjoy borderline Lite BDSM (Dom/sub references), hot sex, a great plot and story line, well written by a really good author. It's a solid 4 stars from me.

With This Collar is a Winner!

With This Collar (Mastered, #1)With This Collar by Sierra Cartwright
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was the best book, by far, that I've read about the lifestyle!

Most books I read portray the lifestyle on such a cookie cutter fantasy level that it's almost laughable. This book was as true to form as it gets without being textbook (of which there is no such thing!)

I've made this the BOTM on my group, The Erogenous Zone and the comments have been nothing short of outstanding thus far.

The characters were believable and I was invested in each of them from the beginning, no matter how small their parts. It takes a lot for me to become so invested in a character that I wonder about them when I have to put the book down.

The D/s - M/s dynamics in this book were well researched. Thank you, Ms. Cartwright for this story.

To Command and Collar Commands Attention!!

To Command and Collar (Masters of the Shadowlands, #6)To Command and Collar by Cherise Sinclair

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I LOVED this installment in this series. With each book Cherise Sinclair writes in this series you can see her writing style getting better and better. Much more timeline believable.

I fell in love with Master Raoul and Kimberly. His touching and caring ways in which he helped Kim in the beginning and the slow process of realizing he was in love with her, and loved her enough to possibly let her go.

Kimberly's trust, while fragile in the beginning, and throughout the first half of the book, she begins to slowly open up and trust again.

My favorite thing was when she was to show him, by holding up her fingers, what her fear was. The way he was so attuned to her body by studying her.

This book was just all around good, not to mention, hot and sexy to boot.

I'd *love* to see Sam get his own story, and with as much "page time" as he got in To Command and Collar, could that be a possiblity? I sure hope so!
