What a fun quick read! And hot too! Just perfect to read over your lunch hour or while sitting in a nice warm bubble bath!

A husband and wife on the verge of splitting up until the husband tells her what he wants from her and exactly how he wants it.

She's taken aback, but even with the shock of it all she notices this change that has come over him in this situation, and she likes it! But will she like it when He takes complete control?

Ok, this one was an odd one. I'm giving it 2.5 stars... barely, but rounding it up to 3 to account for the time the author put into writing this one.

I'm not sure how to describe what I read here. For me it was kind of like a train wreck, no matter how much I tried to look away, I just had to see if the crash didn't happen. It did.

This is a quick read, but if you're looking for a book with a connection to characters, a plot, or any follow through, then this isn't the book for you. It's just kinky and without depth.

Review: Friday Afternoon

Friday Afternoon by Sylvia Ryan

This was a very good book, enough so that I was disappointed when it seemed to end so suddenly. I wanted to experience "that weekend" that the book built up to, with Levi and Mia.

I enjoyed reading about this long married couple recapturing the love they felt for each other in their marriage. I felt a connection within the first few pages with Mia, as I'm sure most women who read this book will feel.

This was an easy and quick read, and i enjoyed it very much, a solid 4 star read... i still want that final weekend though! :)

Review: Unbound Commitment

Another GREAT book by Sierra Cartwright!

This one... ohhh, this book. One of the things i constantly tell people is that this lifestyle "isn't about the sex", it's about so very much more. It's about trust and honesty and all the beautiful and hard things that entails.

This book explains that statement in a way that i never could. But then again, i'm not a writer. This book is about the training of a slave, the hard realities of it, how a submissive must learn to trust, even though she's not been able to in the recent, or far reaching, past. It's about letting go and just "being".

This book got in my head, and made me take a good long look at myself (and my relationship). To me it was so much more than "just another erotica story."

i normally only read this genre for the entertainment value, but i've found lately that some of the erotica writers that i'm enjoying, are either connected to the lifestyle or have done their homework and have learned the real inner-workings of a D/s or M/s couple, and they bring some of that into their books.

Don't get me wrong, i still enjoy some of the erotic "fantasy" books for some escapism, but this one didn't hit me as one of those.

Master James is a no nonsense Dominant and Rachel wants to learn from the best. i feel she got *much more* than she bargained for.

The book has some "fantasy based elements" of course, but there are also lessons within the pages that every submissive or submissive slave can take away from this book. If you're a slave, you'll recognize them right away, if you're a submissive, (and or a slave) you'll find inspiration in this book and more than a few passages for food for thought in your own relationship.

All in all, this was a great book, the submissive training fairly dead on by a Master that only asks for complete trust and honesty. Cornerstones.

Kaylee's Keeper is a keeper!

Okay, after reading by this same author, I was a little hesitant to read this one, but I just saw something in this author, I just knew she had something in her writing that would take me beyond the "fade to black", and OMG am I ever glad decided to keep reading! Where the author went fade to black in the last book, she totally brought it all in this one! I'd give it a full 4.50 rating.

I loved the whole Fantasy Castle concept from the first one but this one brought the idea into full on Role Playing mode.

I felt connected to Kaylee and Master Marshall, I wanted to see them interact. There was a part, close to the end, that I was close to tears, so I liked that the book was able to pull that emotion out of me. I also related to Kaylee in some ways, her bashfulness, shyness, and her inability at times to "say *those* words".

The only real "complaint" if you could even call it that was the constant "working of her fingers" on the hem of her skirt, or just fidgeting, it was constantly described to the point of distraction.

I do recommend this book! It was one I was reluctant to put down, and if I had to, I was anxious to pick it back up again.

This book is pretty much a stand alone book. None of the characters from Holding Hannah are in this one, and Holding Hannah will only give you background on how the actual Castle came to be for this book. This book, obviously, takes place several years later.

As a note to my EZ members, this will be the BDSM BOTM for September so you may want to wait for the group read and/or read Holding Hannah first if you like.. :)
