Sam and Linda's Story! At Last!

This Is Who I Am (Masters of the Shadowlands, #7)This Is Who I Am by Cherise Sinclair
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I know I say this with every book I read in this series but this one, Sam and Linda's story... oh it was my favorite!

It was sweet and loving and kind and tormented all wrapped up in a nice neat little story. I believe it wrapped up the slaving aspect quite well, but left a tiny opening that would be possible to follow up on in the next book. Which i understand (hoping) will be Sally's story?

I loved that all the other Dominants and submissives were active participants in this book. It's always good to "see" them.

I had this book up as book of the month on my Goodreads board, and so far, everyone that has read it, has really enjoyed it.

There is one thing though, something that has stood out to me since the first book in this series, one thing that drives me to distraction at times. The use of the term "His eyes 'crinkled at the corners'" or his mouth, or the condom wrapper. Something, usually the Dominants eyes when looking at his sub, is always crinkling. Using it a couple times in a series is one thing, but it's become a common description that is overused in all the books, IMNSHO.

Can i live with it? Sure, since i love the series, but i'd love to see a book in the series that doesn't use "crinkling eyes" or mention anything about the little lines around the Dom's or anyone's eyes or mouth. *smile*

Great series that just gets better and better with each book. Crinkles and all!
