New Vampire Series to love!

Bound by Night (MoonBound Clan Vampires, #1)Bound by Night by Larissa Ione
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wow. Just. Wow.

Larissa Ione new series The Moonbound Clan Vampires is fresh, hot, heart wrenching at times, and ohhh so sexy!

The vampires in this series are unlike other vampire stories. She takes it to a different level where vampires are warm blooded, more like what I've read about werewolves being, running hotter than humans by a few degrees. There is no mention of not being able to walk in the sunlight, and they are descended from American Indians, and many are taken as slaves for the very rich.

There are a lot of twists and turns in this book all of them well planned and well timed. Very typical of the great stories Larissa Ione writes, so I'm not surprised that I loved this book.

I felt connections to the characters, main *and* secondary. Nicole and Riker are an unlikely couple. Nicole is human Riker is a turned vampire. Nicole is his sworn enemy, coming from a family that runs a company that uses vampires as test subjects. Doing to them things that are akin to animal testing. Nicole is pretty much in the plausible deniability realm of it all, and has a (justifiable) fear of vampires, seeing how her family was killed by them, when she was very young, in the Vampire Rebellion. Riker is fully aware what her family has cost him, and fully aware that Nicole is actually directly responsible for the death of his mate. And neither are happy to be in each others company when Riker kidnaps Nicole.

But there is a chemistry there, that neither can deny, but neither of them wants to acknowledge. Oh and there is hot human/vampire and vampire/vampire sex. Can't forget that!

I really enjoyed this book and giving it a solid 4.5. I'm really looking forward to the next in the series starring Hunter and the twins! Now *that* should be interesting to say the least!
