Review: Changing Course

Changing Course
Changing Course by Aly Martinez

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book was sweet, funny, romantic, sad... and at points, slow. But for the most part, I enjoyed it. It had a pretty good twist towards the end that had me on the edge of my seat.

There were a few annoyances in the book that kept me from giving this a 4 star rating. The entire book was written as first person (either Brett or Jesse) then all of the sudden, Jesse would address *me* the reader, like she was asking me a question. That jumped out at me several times. At times, the timeline seemed to be a little off.

Brett's temper at times seemed a bit over the top in the anger department which was such a contradiction to the sweet, funny character he was portrayed as at other times. It just didn't seem to fit in all instances.

But all in all, as I said in the beginning, it was a sweet, funny, romantic, and sad book... the middle, for me, was verrrrry slow.
