Her car disabled during a tropical storm, Jessica Randall discovers the isolated house where she's sheltering is a private bondage club. At first shocked, she soon becomes aroused watching the interactions between the Doms and their subs. But she's a professional woman--an accountant--and surely isn't a submissive...is she?

Master Z hasn't been so attracted to a woman in years. But the little sub who has wandered into his club intrigues him. She's intelligent. Reserved. Conservative. After he discovers her interest in BDSM, he can't resist tying her up and unleashing the passion she hides within.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, strong BDSM theme and content (including/not limited to bondage, caning, restraints, spanking, etc), exhibitionism, voyeurism.

Review

Every once in a while a book comes along that grabs at your the literary brain cells. That you read and immediately want to read again, that while you're reading it, you can't put it down, you don't want it to end, you want to shout to everyone you know that they MUST, MUST read this book! You think about where the story is going to go next when you aren't sitting down holding it in your hands... well this is one of those books for me... one of those authors actually. Everything I've read by Cherise Sinclair (I recently finished the Mountain Masters series), and I do mean EVERYTHING has done this to me! I put one book down, only to start the next one! I've rounded a new literary corner and the sex is HOT!

Okay, I'm vanilla girl living in a vanilla world, plain and simple. I enjoyed Paranormal Romance.. then I moved a little further outside of my vanilla world and stepped into Paranormal Erotica... I thought I'd never get enough of that... then I found a group of ladies on Goodreads that read *Erotica*... *GASP* I picked up some pretty good recomendations from them, then I saw where they were talking about Cherise Sinclair and her Mountain Masters and Masters of Shadowland and I felt wicked just reading the blurbs! I couldn't understand why someone would want to read about such things as BDSM. There couldn't be any love or real romance, no HEA, just people torturing each other, or controling each other... right? RIGHT?

Wrong...

Enter Jessica, whose car breaks down in a storm, she walks and comes upon an estate where she askes to use the phone... one situation leads to another and she finds warmth, dry clothes... and Master Z. What she's stumbled into is a private BDSM club. Couriosity... ahh yes, couriosity is what keeps Jessica hanging around "just until she can get her car towed out of the ditch". Master Z takes good care of Jessica, and finds she is a true "Submissive" and now isn't it just lucky that he is the purrrrfect Dom? There are a lot of "scenes", and Jessica is scared, terrified... and well, turned on by it all... you'll have to read the rest to see how it goes. No spoilers here!

But I must tell you, this isn't for the faint of heart. It's raw and powerful. It will make you blush, laugh out loud, cringe, but I'll bet you won't be able to put it down!

Go on, I dare you.

Welcome to the Dark Side by Cherise Sinclair

Related Titles: Master of the Mountain; Master of the Abyss; Simon Says: Mine, part of the Doms of Dark Haven anthology

Real Doms terrify her, so Summer plays with lightweights only. And only in the safety of her club, Dark Haven. But on Western Night, the tough cop who wins her in a sub-roping game is as powerful as they come.

Virgil's first taste of BDSM was disturbingly enticing. Hoping to burn out his interest, he visits an infamous San Francisco club, where he wins himself the prettiest little sub he’s ever seen. He’s in a quandary. A man shouldn’t render a woman helpless, let alone spank her ass. But the nervous little submissive clearly loves being in his ropes. Her need to be controlled is as powerful as his need to control. So he indulges himself, and her.

That one night could be the beginning, but instead it's the end. She won't play outside the club and he lives too far to come play. He'll just have to find a way to forget her...or get her in his ropes to stay.

Publisher's Note: All of the stories within this anthology contain explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: strong BDSM theme and elements (including/not limited to: bondage and spanking).

On the mountain, the watcher seeks out evil women. And then they die.

Two years ago, when Jake Hunt uncollared his slave, she committed suicide. Guilt-ridden, he will commit to a woman for one night only, devoting his energy to a mountain lodge that caters to a BDSM crowd.

Kallie Masterson is tough. Unwanted as a child, she worked hard to become a wilderness guide. She's proud of who she is, and hurt that Jake frowns on her for acting like a man.

After rescuing the macho guide from a bar fight, Jake is stunned that the ugly men's clothing hides a warm, responsive woman. A submissive woman. When guide business brings her to the lodge on BDSM night, and she is obviously aroused by the play, Jake takes the little sub right into his world of pain and pleasure. He warns her: one night only. But she responds so beautifully -- so joyously -- under his command, that one night soon becomes two, then three...

Then a missing hiker reminds Jake of his past lover, and he realizes he's become too involved. He pulls back.

Meanwhile, the watcher on the mountain has rendered his verdict: Kallie Masterson is evil. The sentence: Death.

Review

What a read! The third in the Mountain Masters Series left me breathless! First we had Logan, now we have his oh-so-sexy brother, Jake. I was really looking forward to reading Jake's story, and Cherise Sinclair does NOT dissappoint!

Jake has a tortured past. He was a in a 24/7 M/s relationship a couple years ago, but he just wasn't cut out for the 24/7 style, so he un-collared his girlfriend who was later found dead in the woods, a victim of an apparent suicide. Which Jake assumes is because she couldn't take the breakup and being un-collared.

Jake adopts a "one night only" rule, and sticks by it... until Kallie comes along and becomes his little "one more night" addiction.

Kallie is a cute little, tough-as-nails, pixie who is, like Jake, a Wilderness guide, who has harbored a secret crush on Jake for quite a while. But, she lives in a house with her male cousins (and raised, mostly, by her uncle who is now deceased), and she is a tomboy through and through, from her rough and tumble ways, to the, very unflattering, tomboyish clothes she wears. When she's down at the local bar, with some friends one night, a bar fight breaks out, and there's Kallie, right in the middle of it, and there's Jake, horrified, that she's right in the middle of it! After she is knocked for a loop, Jake's Dom instincts take over, he can't stand to see a woman hurt in this manner, and he "rescues" the little spit fire, mostly from herself!

Kallie is mortified that Jake is the one to pick her up off the floor, she'd rather the floor had just swallowed her up so she wouldn't have to look into his face and see what she percives to be a reflection of her "unlovableness".

But she *is* lovable and Jake finds this out more and more each time he decides to spend the day... or night... with her.

So as one night becomes 2, 3, 4, etc... their love starts to bloom, only to be stepped on and nearly crushed by her family that don't approve of Jake's lifestyle, even though they've joined their businesses to include them.

And to top it all off, there's a serial killer on the loose and he's heading straight for Kallie.

This is not only a great love story, but a great suspense story too.

Simon Says: Mine by Cherise Sinclair

Related Title: Master of the Mountain

With an empty nest and divorce in hand, Rona decides it's time to explore the fantasies that nourished her through a long, tedious marriage to a man whose idea of outrageous sex was leaving the lights on. At the top of her fantasy list is touring Dark Haven, the BDSM club, but she isn't prepared for the effect of a powerful Dom. When Master Simon takes control and introduces her to toys and sensations she's never felt before, she realizes he could fulfil every fantasy on her list all by himself. But she's vowed to never get trapped in a relationship again.

One of the most popular Doms in Dark Haven, Master Simon has had his fill of eager, shallow, young subs. Rona is older, intelligent, independent...and sweetly submissive. After an evening of intense pleasure and despite her obvious attraction, she refuses to see him again. He needs a way to change her mind. She's not the first sub he's taken on a journey of exploration, but he's beginning to think she might be the last.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, strong BDSM theme and elements to include exhibitionism and voyeurism.

I was so glad to see Simon get his own story, and WHAT a story it was!

I love all the "Men on the Mountain", but Simon really is my favorite, I guess because he is older, and doesn't have to have a 20 something skinny woman, he has a woman that is a little older and a little rounder, and she is "teachable"! And boy does he teach her!

Cherise Sinclair is my new favorite author, not to mention my favorite genre!

When Rebecca's boyfriend talks her into vacationing at a mountain lodge with his swing club, she quickly learns she's not cut out for playing musical beds. Now she has nowhere to sleep. Logan, the lodge owner, finds her freezing on the porch. After hauling her inside, he warms her in his own bed, and there the experienced Dom discovers that Rebecca might not be a swinger...but she is definitely a submissive.

Rebecca knows that no one can love her plump, scarred body. To her shock, lodge owner Logan not only disagrees, but ties her up and shows her just how much he enjoys her curves. Under his skilled hands, Rebecca not only loses her inhibitions, but also her heart.

Damaged from the war, Logan considers himself too dangerous to be around the enticing little sub. He sends her away for her own safety, not realizing she believes she has once again been rejected because of her size. As Logan's mountains echo with her voice long after she's gone, he realizes she's taken his heart with her. But when he arrives in the city to reclaim her, Rebecca's phone has been disconnected and her apartment is empty...

Review

My first big step into this particular genre... (I took a baby step with another recent read that put me on the path!) and OMG! What a way to dive right in! Loved this book! It's the first I've read that isn't PN, PNR or PNR/erotic.

As for this book, it was fantastic! I loved this author and have already marked some of her other books to read.

Not for the faint of heart.
