Lucas... what a man! A hawt, dominant, alpha male. Yes. He is my, "new at this moment", book crush!

Lucas is the oldest of the Hunter Brothers, a no-nonsense, take the world by the balls and make it submit, smart, classy... and rich, man.

Jessica is a single mom to a 5 year old son. She and her sister live, and raise, Dexter together. She finally has a great job, and things are looking up. She "moonlights" helping out her sister at Elite as a server for private parties and it's at one of these parties that she meets Lucas. Her "Thunderbolt". Her love at first site though she'll never admit that.

While I really liked Lucas' character, Jess, drove me insane. Her wanting to be open, then shutting down. Every time Lucas tried to move forward, she'd take 3 steps back, while wondering why he didn't make her more than a 3 day a weeks lay. Jess was selfish and self centered a lot of the time.

Case in point. She, of course, wants the very best for her son, and when the very best is offered for him, she complains about how it effects her. At every turn she is whining. But, all in all, that's just Jess, and Lucas is actually able to take it and turn it to his advantage most of the time. She says "no", he finds a way to show her that "yes" is the better option.

Her back and forth, fence straddling, did get a bit old. But when it was the most important, Jess did step up and was actually there for Lucas when it counted the most, which had all sorts of redeeming qualities in my book.

The sex... OMG.. there was some really hot, sexy, sex in this book!

Lucas: "...we will be exclusive, embarking on a relationship that is underpinned by emmense trust, open communication and mutual respect."

Jessica: "It was the one part of being punished that I liked; no long drawn out apologies or self recrimimnation. It was 'wham-bam-it's over now ma'am there there was a lot to be said for it."

The Dominant/submissive aspect of the book. The author nailed it in almost all areas and I was really happy about that. Lucas was a strong Dominant that took training Jessica, and being her Dom, very seriously, while he was a Dom that normally played the submissive field, he gave Jess what he knew she needed. Exclusivity. Although it took her a while to trust that he was being faithful. Lucas was written as an upstanding Dominant and Jess as a submissive that was new to the lifestyle, and both, I felt, were written by someone that did their homework. (Thank you for that, L.J. Dee!)

Best line that made me laugh: "This was the shiny little cherry on a headfuck sundae..." I am SO going to find an opportunity to use that in conversation someday!

Most irritating overuse of a word. Flash, flashes, flashing, flashed. This descriptive term was used 37 times in this book. Flash(ing) eyes, smiles, across features, momentary, into mind, numbers, of fear, of jealousy, for a totally of 37 instances. The most overused in a phrase, "flashing eyebrows", flashing his, flashing hers, flashing his thick black brows. It's a great way to describe something, but it was just way overused.

Other than that, I really did love this story, flashing eyebrows and all! Loved Lucas and Jessica's overall relationship, enjoyed Chas, Charlie, and even Lucas's conniving little PA, Melody who wanted nothing more than to be rid of Jess and could be quite a bitch in her attempt to do so. She was the one I loved to hate!

I'm really looking forward to reading Roman and Chastity's story, and I hope to see a little of Lucas, Jess and Dex sprinkled in there too!

Poor Little Daddy's Girl

Poor Little Daddy's Girl (Daddy's Girls, #3)Poor Little Daddy's Girl by Normandie Alleman

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*****5 Panty Melting Stars!*****

Rating overview

Overall rating: 4.3

Normandie contacted me to read this book because of the MC being called "kitten".. she knew that I wouldn't be able to resist that! She was right!

I snapped this book up and devoured it!

Charmaine is the spoiled, bratty, little rich girl, and Hunter is the level headed, hard working, middle class, (and oooh so sexy), fireman. They meet, when Charmaine sents her kitchen on fire due to neglect, and Hunter is the fireman that comes to her rescue.

Hunter is not impressed with antics and her lackadaisical attitude about things. He sees that she is a woman that needs to be taken firmly in hand, and it's his hand that he'd like to firmly take her in!

Charmaine is a little girl looking for a Daddy Dom. She likes to be the brat, whether it's just her personality, her need for attention, or both, not even she is sure.

"She could manipulate most men into doing whatever she wanted. But Hunter was different. She respected Him too much to try to manipulate him, at least not very often."

When Hunter and Charmaine come together, there are lessons for both of them to learn. But, can their relationship survive these lessons? Can Charmaine really be with someone without money? Someone that won't stand for her brattiness? Can Hunter learn to not be judgemental about people with money? Can he tame the tiger that is Charmaine? But most importantly, can they both learn to love again after a past of heartache?

This book is well written and a page turner. And the sex is hot, Hot, HOT!

I don't normally read Daddy/babygirl stories, but this is twice now that I've read them by Normandie Alleman. There isn't a lot of age play, but you get the point that they are Daddy and babygirl without it. Ms. Alleman writes about the lifestyle, of which I'm a part, with respect and well researched stories.

Some of my favorite lines from this book:

"Yeah, you're a tiger most of the time, but when I tame you, you turn in to the most adorable little kitten."

And my favorite.. mainly because I've heard it said to me before by my own Sir. *winks*

"Relax, Kitten. You know it will go easier if you do."

Thank you, Normandie for allowing me to read this book for you.

Review: Ruthless Flight

Ruthless Flight
Ruthless Flight by Kathryn Hunter

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

WOW... what a quick, hot read. Read this with my morning coffee and now I think I need a drink!

While this book was short, only 16 pages, it jumped right in to the story. It definitely left me wanting more, more, MORE! t

This story really has the basis of being a great novel. What happened *after* the flight when Davis actually meets her Master? I *need* to know! Will there be more? Is this just a prologue to more? I certainly hope so.

Warning: Not a book to just casually read while sitting at your desk.. you *will* squirm!

Only the shortness and cliffhanger keep this from being a 5 star read for me.

Review: Kink

Kink
Kink by Nikki Sex

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Advanced reader's copy received from the author in exchange for an honest review.

An enjoyable read with a lot of HOT SEX!

Emily and Paul are on a journey of discovery, not only about each other, but about themselves too.

Can Emily truly let go and trust Paul to be faithful? Can Paul truly let go of his demons and give Emily the total commitment she needs to move on, and away, from her fear of him cheating on her?

Paul has had enough playtime submissives to last him a lifetime, he knows that he wants to give it all up and be a one sub Dom with Emily, but he knows she's holding back, but he doesn't know why.

A near death experience makes him realize that even though *he* may know that he'll be faithful, Emily doesn't and he sets out to prove it to her in one of the most intimate ways.

I have to admit, when I look back at the meat of this story, looking past the sex, (did i mention a LOT of sex?), that there was a very unique plot that unfolded. Reading a story that was, at least in part, from the Dom's point of view was interesting. I liked it, and it gave me food for thought. I am in a "lifestyle relationship" so reading a "Dom's thoughts" really spoke to me.

Thank you, Nikki, for supplying me an ARC and allowing me to read and review this book for you. It was very interesting! I don't see my Master doing some of the things that Paul did, but it was an interesting twist that left me wondering, "what if...." :)

I'm giving this book a 4 star rating, the only thing that keeps it from being a 5 star is the amount of sex, it tends to overshadow the actual story. It felt like the actual story was written into the sex, instead of the sex being written into the story.

Solid 4 Stars
