I need me some more Reaper love!!

OMG! I absolutely LOVED this installment in the Reaper's Motorcycle Club series, and it's my favorite so far!

I knew from Book 2, Reaper's Legacy, that I was going to like Hunter. And I more than liked him, he's my new favorite bad boy!

The direction this book took, with Em and Hunter/Liam, kept me turning the pages. I could *not* put this book down, and when I had to, I was thinking about it, wishing I could get back to it! It was *that* good!

The humor between Em and Hunter, kept me smiling, no matter what kind of trouble they found themselves in, the connection between them was always there. No matter how much they tried to deny it.

Hunter/Liam was sexy hot, funny, serious, and no matter how much he tried not to show it, he was a man with feelings. I have to say, as partial as I was to Horse in Reaper's Property, I think I liked Liam even more.

Em was cute, sweet, a bad ass lil ball of girl fun.. and it seemed, a perpetual virgin. Poor girl couldn't *give* it away. Luckily for Liam, something or someone always defeated her goal of "punching her 'V-Card'". Em was the best heroine of the series so far.

I laughed, and I felt sad (for some of the things Liam and Em when through) reading this book, but the most important thing was I felt connected to each and every character, even Skid and Deke!

We got to see some of our old favorite characters in this book from previous books, some much more briefly than others, but they (*ahem*Horse*ahem*) were still important characters to the plot.

Definately a 5 Star read for me!

I crave, Crave, CRAVE more of this series!!

Crave by Sierra Cartwright

A new series from Sierra Cartwright! I was so excited about this book, ran out and bought at the "early release" and devoured it in a day! Pretty much the same way I do all of Ms. Cartwright's books!

I fell in love with the characters right away, immediate connection. Not just the main characters either.

Julien - I really liked how he was true and protective of his friend, Reese, when Sarah wanted him to help her get back with him for just one night. Julien was one tough cookie with a lot of pull! Seems the man could make anything happen!

Reese - Sarah left him 2 years ago, just disappeared out of his life. Left him hurt, disbelieving, sad, mad, and finally "over it", or so he tried to make himself believe. Then after all that time, there was Sarah back in his life, but for how long?

Sarah - For the last 2 years since she ran away from Reese, because of a collar she found in his drawer, she hasn't been able to forget him, no matter how much she tred. No other man compared. She thinks that if she has just one night with Reese, as a submissive that she'll be able to move on.

One night turns into two, three, four.. well you get the idea.

This book was sad when you were given glimpses into the souls of these two people, Reese and Sarah. You rooted for them from the start. They were great together, they made me laugh at some of the things they said. Their relationship was believable. Everything was plausible and believable and I was swept up in the story from the beginning. I'm looking forward to the next in this series.

Hurry Sierra! Write! Write! Write!

An enjoyable read with a lot of HOT SEX!

Emily and Paul are on a journey of discovery, not only about each other, but about themselves too.

Can Emily truly let go and trust Paul to be faithful? Can Paul truly let go of his demons and give Emily the total commitment she needs to move on, and away, from her fear of him cheating on her?

Paul has had enough playtime submissives to last him a lifetime, he knows that he wants to give it all up and be a one sub Dom with Emily, but he knows she's holding back, but he doesn't know why.

A near death experience makes him realize that even though *he* may know that he'll be faithful, Emily doesn't and he sets out to prove it to her in one of the most intimate ways.

I have to admit, when I look back at the meat of this story, looking past the sex, (did i mention a LOT of sex?), that there was a very unique plot that unfolded. Reading a story that was, at least in part, from the Dom's point of view was interesting. I liked it, and it gave me food for thought. I am in a "lifestyle relationship" so reading a "Dom's thoughts" really spoke to me.

Thank you, Nikki, for supplying me an ARC and allowing me to read and review this book for you. It was very interesting! I don't see my Master doing some of the things that Paul did, but it was an interesting twist that left me wondering, "what if...." :)

I'm giving this book a 4 star rating, the only thing that keeps it from being a 5 star is the amount of sex, it tends to overshadow the actual story. It felt like the actual story was written into the sex, instead of the sex being written into the story.

Eternal Every After

Okay. I'm not even sure what I just tortured myself with here. But I do know one thing for sure.



The synopsis sounded promising. Vamps with a little BDSM thrown in? What more could a girl ask for, right?

Well something that was a little less ridiculous would have been just peachy!

Vampires, Fairies, and witches! Oh My! These wouldn't have been bad things if they were introduced with just one tiny bit of believability.

*Dramatic Facepalm*


This book is more along the lines of Twilight meets True Blood. There are similarities to both. A LOT of similarities.



The Vampires in this book don't sparkle or glamour though... they dazzle!!



There were things in this book that were constantly mentioned or pointed out, her "satchel" for instance. What the hell was up with the satchel? I kept thinking there would be something important revealed about it since it was mentioned fifteen different times.

Another was when Arie dazzled her and jumped off the top of a 1,000 ft. building, she constantly gets migraines when trying to remember what happened later, (a kiss) but those things were never followed up on. It's not like he didn't kiss her, spank her, bind her, have sex with her throughout the book, so what was so important about her forgetting that kiss? It's never explained.

Then on the opposite end of the widely swinging spectrum there were things that were way over the top in being overly descriptive.

For instance at about 24% in the author takes us on a little ride.

"We drove north on Lincoln Park West" "Arie turned right onto West Fullerton Parkway and continued straight at the intersection of North Cannon Drive." "He merged onto the highway, heading south." "Arie pulled off the highway, taking the Grand Avenue exit, bearing left onto Lower North Lake Shore Drive." "We continued over another bridge." "Arie turned right onto East Wacker Drive...” "Arie merged onto a ramp continued past the Chicago Riverwalk; its scenic view made me dizzy...” (Yeah! I feel ya on that one!) "He turned left on Columbus Drive..."

I actually felt carsick after just *reading* that!



Did the author think I was gonna plug all of this into Google Maps and go for a scenic Sunday afternoon drive? Really? All of that took up *way* too much space, and that doesn't even mention all the filler in between all of those twists and turns.

The funniest line in the whole book; "I laughed. ’You seriously expect me to believe that the mafia is controlled by a bunch of faeries?'"

Yeah well, I can believe that more than the plausibility of the rest of this book.

Holly doesn't seem in the least shocked when Arie reveals that he's a vampire, or that there are faeries, witches, etc., she's more shocked that said vampire is standing in her kitchen cooking.



There is one scene in the book where Aire starts laughing at her, and by the end of the paragraph I feel like I’m reading about a 12 year old boy rather than a vampire who's been around since about 108 BC. Sometimes he seems very old world and refined, then all of the sudden he seems like a schoolboy.

I don't think I ever developed a connection with a single character in this book. They were all one dimensional and unbelievable.

*ponders*

Except maybe Mystic, the cat.



I almost gave up on this book at around 75%, but felt that I needed to finish at that point. I had to see if the Rogue vampire actually ever showed up, or was that just one more thing that was being led up to that didn't materialize?

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas? Not always!

This is the story of Celeste whose boyfriend has just not only dumped her, but fired her from her job, telling her she was "boring".

Boring?! Hmmm, well Celeste strikes out to prove not only to him, but to herself that she's anything but!

On a whim and out of a place to even stay for the night, she colors her mousey brown hair to a sexy blonde, gets her nails done, packs what few belongings she has left and strikes out for Vegas.



Finding that she really can't afford a room in a high end casino, she slips into the ladies room and puts on her sexiest outfit.. one she's never worn before, and a bit of 'Vegas Baby' makeup, thinking she'll just make herself feel better, have a drink or two and head to a cheaper motel on the outskirts of Vegas.

Then she meets a very handsome stranger, Leonide.



He's charming and sexy and he only has eyes for Celeste. She sure doesn't feel boring now!

Celeste follows him up to his room, doing her best not to be "Boring Celeste" by pretending to be someone she isn't. But she finds that playing pretend can land her in some very real trouble when she wakes up in unfamiliar surrounding and she's pretty sure she isn't in Vegas anymore!

She's in a world of trouble and pretending isn't going to get her out of it!

I'm used to very dark reads, and this isn't one that I'd really classify as "Dark" or "BDSM" for that matter. I would put it more in the New Adult genre. Over 18 only for a little bit of non/dub-con and a few naughty words. But nothing over the top. I would have liked more than one short chapter from Leonide, he had the potential to carry the story to a darker realm.

Only Pretend is a good read and it's very well written. Solid 4 Star read for me.

Review: Destination Anywhere

Destination Anywhere by Felicity Brandon

Road Trip!!

Alisa and her Master head out for destination.... anywhere! But Alisa is being a bit pouty and when her Master asks her whats wrong, she does the proverbial pouty "nothing". Doesn't make her Master very happy. Uh oh! Time to work on those communications skills, little one!

They stop at a little diner where he sends her into the men's room to wait for him. It's there that she gets her much needed (and "wanted"??) attitude adjustment! And what an attitude adjustment it is indeed!

Second in The Kink Between Us series, it's another hot & quick read that was a lot of fun and perfect to get lost in for about 30 minutes, and it'll leave you feeling more than a little flushed with a smile on your face!
