Daddy Morebucks is More Bang for the Buck!

This was my first step into a Daddy Dom/babygirl read. I had my reservations, it's not something I normally care to read about. I normally read much darker BDSM. Now that being said...



A great book, great story, and great writing, all rolled into one sweet read! I connected with the characters right away, couldn't wait to turn the page, and the sex was HOT! Not to over the top descriptive, not fade to back either. The sex was built *into* the story, not the other way around. Which made me enjoy this book even more! It had a great plot!

I enjoyed Marley's character. She seemed so genuine. She was a down on her luck girl who had to resort to sleeping in shelters and wondering where her next meal was coming from most times, she turned to hooking to get a little money to eat on, but not enough to live on.

She has enough money for one drink in her cute little thrift store outfit and wondering if she's going to find a "John" for the night that will feed her, and if she's lucky she'll end up with a nice clean place to stay for the night too.

In walks Milton Barnes, the flustered assistant to the man that wants a particular "call girl" for the night.



Marley isn't that particular call girl, but she can pretend to be for the right amount of cash. Milton just happens to offer her the right amount of cash... and then she is taken to meet James.



James is a wealthy entrepreneur who doesn't have time for wining and dining a woman... usually. All he really has time for is work, work, and more work. And the occasional play time with a paid lady. He's been burned pretty badly once before, so he's not itching or even looking to get back into a relationship. Until Marley gets under his skin and into his heart.



James and Marley's relationship takes off like a shot. And it's believable and plausible. I loved the dynamic of these two. Marley falls right into being James' "doll".

But can a relationship that starts out like this last? Does it have enough foundation to build from? You'll have to read this book to find out.

Like i said, this was my first Daddy/babygirl read, and I loved it. Not sure if it'll be a kink I'll read very often, but i definitely LOVED this one!

I honestly don't know where to start but I guess the beginning is as good as anything - I was immediately drawn to this book when I first looked up Stone's author profile a couple of months ago - it was the title, the cover, the description, the everything - I knew, I had to read it. It's been a while since then and I have since learned to appreciate Stone as an intelligent, imaginative, teasing and witty author with an amazing "sixth" sense for the use of his language that tells his stories, he really is a favourite of mine and that does not happen all that often for me.

The Devil's Dance is a very special story - it presents the reader with an opportunity to fantasise along with its characters - What if I had a "Dream Journal"? What if I stood face-to-face with a handsome devil? What if...? More often than not, I put the book down at night and had my mind wander and thought about the endless possibilities for the story. If you know Stone, it may not surprise you that he took the story in the directions that he did, staying true to his own style of erotica but, at the heart of it, was this fantastically original story that made it so very enjoyable to read.

I missed a little something here that would have made it even more perfect in my opinion - Cherry is, among other things, on a journey of self-discovery with some interesting revelations. At times, I would have liked her introspections to go on for longer, I would have liked to know her better psychologically, I would have wanted more. Additionally, a chapter from Sameal's point of view would have been a great addition - I think he goes through some major things too and I feel a yearning to know his story.

But this doesn't mean that this book isn't one of the best I've read in terms of imagination, language and general content - I simply think that Stone has more in him, more to give in many ways as an author.

All that's left to say is one word - chapeau!

This was an interesting read for me to say the least. The first story seemed to not really sit with me all that well but, similar to Slave World (the other Johnny Stone read I've managed to find time to enjoy so far), Stone just took his time, setting a rough scene and then playing it out in unexpected ways - not sure if it makes sense, but that's how it felt. In this case, it was one isolated part that I found difficulty with which was more than made up by two additional stories I absolutely loved. All in all each story came with a unique character but built up to a comprehensive understanding of the main character and why she lives the way she does.

The more I read, the more I warmed up to Erin and her story - funny at times, witty, naughty but also filled with unique characters who all brought something interesting to the story. All in all this was about a woman getting everything she needs, some of which happening outside of her marriage. Intentional or not, this made me stop and think at some points in order to read between the lines.

Here's two things I really appreciate about Stone as an author - his writing style is almost enchanting, it is very unique and very intelligent, it is the kind of writing that makes anything worth reading and that has made me step beyond my comfort zones as a reader in the past and surely will in the future. The second thing is that Stone is not scared of taboo, not scared of putting his readers in front of uncomfortable yet interesting topics and I hope he will continue to do so in the future. This book was certainly no exception to how I perceived Stone as an author in the past and I highly recommend it to others as I will be very soon, moving on to another one of his books.

Carnal Captive a.k.a. Carnal Days

This book was "iffy" for me.

The non-con genre is a dark favorite of mine and true to form the handlers, Damek and Reno, were pretty brutal. And it's not that, that turned me off at all, it was the dialog between them that drove me a little batty. I kept expecting them at any minute to end up in a little schoolgirl shoving match. It was penis waving at it's best. Their constant, "don't tell me what to do", and trying to one up each other got redundant. Hell, at one point I was wishing they try to beat the crap out of each other.



The story starts out extremely dark, which I really enjoyed. But even from the beginning the handlers were bickering with each other. I kept expecting our heroin to use that to her advantage in some way.

The time with the "handlers" was too long, almost 75% of the book. And all the "conditioning" and "training" they did that whole time, it started to feel like a yawn fest.

I felt for a while that I favored Damek of the 2 handlers, then I would surprise myself by favoring Reno. I really, after a while, felt they were both just trying to prove to the other, and themselves, that they were actually cut out for this business.

Shari Isle. I liked her. I liked that she refused to give up the last bit of herself, her mind. She stayed strong throughout. She did what she had to do to survive. I felt her fear when she was taken, the author described this quite well. And I always felt that giving half a chance that she would kill all of those in her path to freedom.

The time with her new master was too short in terms of the length of the book, and he was pretty wishy-washy. What the hell was he doing buying a slave when he couldn't even make up his mind about basic things like wanting her on the bed or on a chair. It just didn't feel real. Yes, I know he was trying to figure out in his head what the hell he was doing, but it came off very weak. And it was all so rushed. I didn't like the ending, the way it played out, at all.

While I enjoy a Stockholm Syndrome feel to my non-con at times... I was really glad this one didn't take that turn. It wouldn't have felt real, not with as strong as Shari was portrayed to be.

This book is dark and at times brutal, very non-con, and as mentioned, it's a favorite genre of mine. I would caution the casual reader who may not be used to dark reads to read at your own risk as it involves beatings, rape, degradation, and humiliation. If these are triggers for you, best leave this one alone.

2.5 - 3 Star read for me.

Carnal Days was originally published in Feb. of 2012 as Carnal Captive with a different cover. Vonna hopes readers won’t be confused by the changes Amazon is requiring based on recent developments in the epublishing world about what is considered acceptable. This book is still listed on Goodreads.com as Carnal Captive.

I need me some more Reaper love!!

Devil's Game by Joanna Wylde

OMG! I absolutely LOVED this installment in the Reaper's Motorcycle Club series, and it's my favorite so far!

I knew from Book 2, Reaper's Legacy, that I was going to like Hunter. And I more than liked him, he's my new favorite bad boy!

The direction this book took, with Em and Hunter/Liam, kept me turning the pages. I could *not* put this book down, and when I had to, I was thinking about it, wishing I could get back to it! It was *that* good!

The humor between Em and Hunter, kept me smiling, no matter what kind of trouble they found themselves in, the connection between them was always there. No matter how much they tried to deny it.

Hunter/Liam was sexy hot, funny, serious, and no matter how much he tried not to show it, he was a man with feelings. I have to say, as partial as I was to Horse in Reaper's Property, I think I liked Liam even more.

Em was cute, sweet, a bad ass lil ball of girl fun.. and it seemed, a perpetual virgin. Poor girl couldn't *give* it away. Luckily for Liam, something or someone always defeated her goal of "punching her 'V-Card'". Em was the best heroine of the series so far.

I laughed, and I felt sad (for some of the things Liam and Em when through) reading this book, but the most important thing was I felt connected to each and every character, even Skid and Deke!

We got to see some of our old favorite characters in this book from previous books, some much more briefly than others, but they (*ahem*Horse*ahem*) were still important characters to the plot.

Definately a 5 Star read for me!

I crave, Crave, CRAVE more of this series!!

Crave by Sierra Cartwright

A new series from Sierra Cartwright! I was so excited about this book, ran out and bought at the "early release" and devoured it in a day! Pretty much the same way I do all of Ms. Cartwright's books!

I fell in love with the characters right away, immediate connection. Not just the main characters either.

Julien - I really liked how he was true and protective of his friend, Reese, when Sarah wanted him to help her get back with him for just one night. Julien was one tough cookie with a lot of pull! Seems the man could make anything happen!

Reese - Sarah left him 2 years ago, just disappeared out of his life. Left him hurt, disbelieving, sad, mad, and finally "over it", or so he tried to make himself believe. Then after all that time, there was Sarah back in his life, but for how long?

Sarah - For the last 2 years since she ran away from Reese, because of a collar she found in his drawer, she hasn't been able to forget him, no matter how much she tred. No other man compared. She thinks that if she has just one night with Reese, as a submissive that she'll be able to move on.

One night turns into two, three, four.. well you get the idea.

This book was sad when you were given glimpses into the souls of these two people, Reese and Sarah. You rooted for them from the start. They were great together, they made me laugh at some of the things they said. Their relationship was believable. Everything was plausible and believable and I was swept up in the story from the beginning. I'm looking forward to the next in this series.

Hurry Sierra! Write! Write! Write!
